lake
Hidden Lake Retreat offers a variety of settings for relaxing, gathering, meditating, teaching, wandering, snoozing, encountering wildlife, and more. Our 7 acres include a fish ladder (constructed in the early 1920's), meadows, wetlands, holly orchard, old-growth rhododendron garden and forest habitats.
The vintage fish ladder with its cascading falls creates a soothing sound that can be heard from anywhere on the property.

A covered wrap-around porch accommodates year-round  relaxation, napping, dining and workshops. The dock over the lake brings this peaceful body of water right under your feet. The holly-orchard (whose plant essence represents unconditional love) creates the perfect environment for the tipi, wandering, and future site of the labyrinth.

yurt

The 24-foot yurt is perfect for group gatherings, workshops, and ceremonies; this sacred round sanctuary connects you intimately with the land and the natural cycles of life.

The 900 sq. foot studio offers a wide open canvasfor movement, creativity, ceremony, and learning.studioa

Wildlife
:
The bird-life at Hidden Lake Retreat is vibrant because of its habitat diversity-- wood duck, great blue and green heron, common and bufflehead merganser, black-headed grosbeak, osprey, common yellowthroat, great horned owl, red-tail and sharp-shinned hawk, and Rufus hummingbird are just a few of the species you will see and hear. Black bear and elk roam the nearby forests; river otter, beaver, deer, coyote, red fox, and short-tail weasel wander our property on a regular basis. Coho salmon, steelhead, and cutthroat trout inhabit our lake, and are being monitored and encouraged to multiply through onsite conservation efforts by Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Special Notes to Our Guests:

Guests with allergies should take note that we have two cats and a dog on site. Guest bedrooms are kept cat- and dog-free, but our pets do roam the property.  Hidden Lake Retreat was designed for retreat, so we do not have TV on the premises, nor telephones in our guest rooms. There is a wireless network for those who need to stay connected. Cell phone coverage is limited at the lodge (extensive roaming and dropped calls due to our topography). Please respect our request that there be no smoking in the lodge or on the property.

Our mission is your well-being. Hidden Lake is designed to support you to relax, reflect, and rejuvenate. So, just say yes, and let yourself go...
